Scientologists fail to get the memo about Disconnection

October 28, 2009

We just received the following message from Sherry Katz, who recently posted her Knowledge Report on Marty Rathbun’s blog.  Sherry says:

“I thought you and all who read your blog might be interested to know, that, in demonstration of the new ‘no disconnection’ policy in Scientology, as stated by Tommy Davis just a couple days ago, this Scientologist, JoJo Zawawi, (in the photo) sent around the following to three friends of mine who then forwarded it to me.  Evidently, JoJo was not informed of the ‘no disconnection’ policy. Perhaps OSA Int was not informed either. Here is what JoJo sent:

‘Subject: Sherry Katz

Dear ____,

Sherry Katz has resigned from our Church.  She is committing suppressive acts and attacking the Church and making effort to pull people off the Bridge.  I have personally verified this with OSA Int.  I recommend that you delete your Facebook friend connection with her.

xoxox JoJo (Zawawi)’

Love,  Sherry.”

Jojo – didn’t you get the memo? Disconnection has been cancelled, according to Church spokesman Tommy Davis. As Tommy stated, “There isn’t any such policy in the Church dictating who you can and cannot be in communication with.”

So stop contradicting Tommy Davis! And while you’re at it, you might also follow the LRH Policy on “if it isn’t written, it isn’t true.”  Demand some specifics in writing from OSA as to exactly what Sherry did. And if you can’t get it from them, you can read Sherry’s own Knowledge Report here. She did put it in writing. And while you’re at it, you might also read Mary Jo Levitt’s KR, Geir Isene’s Doubt Formula, and Paul Haggis’ letter.

The key words here are “I have personally verified this with OSA Int”. Left hand hasn’t got a clue what the right hand is doing. Tuesday, Tommy: “Disconnection cancelled”. Wednesday, OSA Int “No, it’s in full force”.

This is disgusting and beyond the pale. I am going to send a registered letter to OSA UK and Int 1st thing tomorrow morning. Enough is enough. We GOT to fix this.

Wow rebel you’re reading my mind (a small mind to read but nonetheless), I was just thinking that when Marty posted a similar story!

Well looks like the diligent are at it again. Harassment comes from all angles here. If someone were to follow even LRH’s definition of a true friend then no one would disconnect from their friends ever.

I cannot find the quote right now but I am sure you know the one I am talking about. Maybe instead of showing people all the flip flopping Tommy Davis is doing just show them that quote and ask them, “Before you heard anything bad about me, was I your friend or not?” And if the answer is that you were there friend then there should be no question in their mind what they should do.

Wow, that is so disgusting! I don’t have Facebook, otherwise I am sure I would have gotten the same “punishment” from Jojo. What do we have– parishioners volunteering to be “double-hatted” as OSA agents to “put ethics in” on the field? So HCO is gone for sure and OSA rules with their smear tactics and reverse Admin. The public is in panic and OSA is cashing in on that fear capital they possess. Amazing. It just makes me glad I have openly left this hostile group. Watch the boomerang effect coming up…..

How about a defamation lawsuit against JoJo?

The “church” has been having it both ways for way too long, and not only about disconnection.

Got the LRH Quote on true friend: “What a true friend does. For one thing they stand up for one, give him council, they help him in adversity, they safeguard his reputation, won’t hear ill of him, share his triumphs, ignore his faults.” L. Ron Hubbard

Rebel, in an earlier post entitled “what management” from July, you said regarding the A/Tech Aides actions in a Class V org:

“He wanted this or that staff member for the CLO. ”

Does this mean he was recruiting from contracted staff for the SO? This is not a recruitment pool per policy, was this happening? Also, what did you mean the Tech Aide was IN the org. He would come INTO the org and direct staff? He has no such power or comm line. A report from this Tech Sec about this would be helpful, is that you Sherry? I could help fill in some gaps regarding SO policy and what happened. The Tech Sec was indeed correct in all the outnesses mentioned in this article.

Well those loose ends I needed to take care of are a done.
I heart breakingly found out the PR in the church appears unbreakable on some people.
You can lead them to water but you can’t explain why David Miscavige should be removed for assault, fraud, forging LRH’s signature, and not being OEC train (admittedly that was as of 1990, but it was his answer to “Have you ever graduted the Org Executive Course?”, in a deposition, infront of a judge).

So ARC breaks handled and I am sure SP declare on its way, the terminal I gave the data to did “the right thing” and passed it on to HCO. It was like watching episode 3 of star wars, how do they miss that stuff? Hung out to dry by your closest “friends”.

      Martin,
Sorry to hear about that buddy. If it’s any consolation, you aren’t alone in the observation of the horses not drinkin’. It’s the world we live on, for the time being. In the long haul, my friend, we’ll see a better scene. I wouldn’t hold my breath for acknowledgement from those that won’t look, can’t see. Still, we’ll carry on and live by our Code of Honor and this universe is never going to be the same!
p.s. if you need a break in a wonderland, I’ve got the place.

Hey Jim, thanks for your kind words.
I had a big comm lag on that actually, I have become accustomed to being numb to people unfortunately, being in CofS made life seem an incessant danger, where friendships and relationships could not be counted upon.
I really appreciate that you can offer friendship to a relative stranger, but THAT is very much the culture scientology is really about to me, so its really cool to see.

    Martin,

It is actually an honor to be declared an “SP” by DM’s Suppressive group. That actually means you are SAINT! 🙂

That´s a person who has actually gotten somewhere spiritually as she can attest to being a person who no longer has her own analytical mind;)
We on the other hand has our own integrity intact!:)
Good that gave this info and I salute you Sherry for your integrity!:)
