Heads up – New Yorker article appearing tomorrow

February 6, 2011

Just a quick heads-up, Larry Wright’s long-awaited article about Paul Haggis and the Church of Scientology is appearing in this week’s New Yorker, supposed to be out tomorrow. It’s long, but well worth the read.

Wright is a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and screenwriter, as well as a staff writer for The New Yorker magazine.
He is the author of six books, and is best known for his 2006 book, The Looming Tower: Al Qaeda and the Road to 9/11. Wright won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction, and is frequently referenced by media pundits as an excellent source of background information on Al Qaeda and the September 11 attacks.

From one radical group of fanatics to another. He is planning on following up this article with a book on the Church.

And for another tantalizing preview, see this Gawker article: “The FBI is investigating Scientology for Human Trafficking.”

Added note: here is a PBS interview with Larry Wright.

Larry Wright is a significant Author and Journalist

The PDF file of this New Yorker article is 28 pages LONG !

    Beautifully and articulately written.

His forthcoming book will be the reference text for decades to come.

How nice to have actual TRUTH exposed as opposed to the LIES and DRIVEL and MANUFACTURED FANTASY on their HATE websites and “SP DECLARES.”

One lie after another is all that is spouted from RADICAL TALIBAN Scientology

    TRUTH will OUT.

    Jeff,

Let’s just say I had a premonition that something big was coming down the pike.

Remember when you were back in LA and the term “Earth Quake Weather”.

    For those who don’t know.

It’s when the weather here would get unbelievably hot and the air got still and silent.

Not a single breeze of any kind.

This would go on for several days before we’d get hit with a quake or a least a tremor.

We called that phase “Shake and Bake” 😉

Anyway I just had a feeling that the final phase is what is going to be hitting the Church.

Only it’s going to be the “big one” all those jealous snow bound New Yorkers have been predicting would happen for decades.

Only in this case I predict it will be limited to LRH Way and Fountain and Bronson and Franklin with horrendous aftershocks that’ll rock a location just outside of Hemet.

Eventually localizing around all the “Ideal Orgs” across the nation

The irony is that this “shake and bake” will be originating from New York.

    Ah the symmetry.

Are you ready for the “big one” Dave?

A really well-done article. Most of it is old news for anyone here, but being in the New Yorker means it has a fantastic reach and makes the most troubling aspects of the current state of affairs far harder to ignore by those who should be paying attention.

Interesting about the ongoing FBI investigation. I’m sure many of the bloggers/authors who are ex’s knew about it because they were interviewed, but it was news to me.
