The Decline Continues

November 30, 2009

Apparently OSA is adrift. They are attempting to handle the “disaffected field” (which is to say, the whole field), by calling people in or visiting them in their homes. But instead of questioning the field, they are finding that they are the ones being questioned.

Most public Scientologists by now are familiar with the abuses, the Policy and Tech violations. They have read the St. Petersburg Times articles, and have read this blog and others. So when OSA shows up, they find themselves being asked about these things.  And they have no answers.

Public: “This whole Ideal Org thing is out exchange. LRH said not to ask for donations, yet that is all they are doing nowadays.”

OSA: “Well, um…you’re right, sure, that’s wrong…”

Public: “We have friends that have been forced to disconnect from their children. That’s wrong.”

OSA: “Well…you’re right, that shouldn’t happen…”

Public: “I’ve read about these staff beatings – is that true?”

OSA: “Well, um, we can’t confirm or deny it…”

Really OSA, this is your “handling” these days? The trouble is, these OSA people know its the truth. They can’t fight it any more. They are not going to confirm it, but they can’t deny it.

Meanwhile, several people have mentioned the exodus from Clearwater that is now in full swing. A real estate agent there who handles most of the properties owned by Scientologists, now has 78 former Scientologist homes up for sale.

What’s the opposite of “Mecca”? Maybe “Diaspora.”

Thanks for your unblinking look at the current activities of the church. This blog provides information that scientologists in and out of the church desperately need to guide their present time planning.

You provided us with the information we needed to clearly see what we had been ignoring for many years. I have been brought to present time by the revelations in your posts.

There are many different roles to be played in the new and distributed field of independent scientologists and pastoral counselors. While I am choosing to rehabilitate those who have failed to achieve the gains they should have gotten, you are providing the data which allows sane decisions on how to change the future of scientologists.

    Continue the excellent reporting!

Has anyone heard anything about OTs not in the Clearwater or California areas being disaffected? Besides myself of course. I know things trickle down to “fly over country”. I can see cracks in a few foundations of certain individuals and a few others who are quietly distancing themselves from the tumbling walls of the C of S.

Out here most of what is happening, even with all the bad media for the C of S, is not being talked about by those still “in”. When I brought up the France fraud case to our local ethics terminal, he said those charges were cancelled and he had a dead agent pack from OSA to prove it. Totally absurd, I know. When I’ve brought up other bad press and my concerns about what is being said, I was told the media is “entheta” and why do I watch the news?

Also Rebel were those real responses of OSA?? That is crazy if they are actually saying they can’t confirm or deny the beatings.

Hard to believe but yes, those were relayed to me as actual OSA responses.

Wow Rebel they are actually using the “Glomar Response” .

        Amazing!

        RJ,

Wow, interesting research you are doing to pull up some of this data!

I noticed too, church responses changing from express denial of everything and blanket statements of denial to “can’t confirm or deny” and “yes it shouldnt have happened, but.”

definate progress towards truth on the scale, but you have to wonder how much is reform vs realizing that their lies are blatenly seen as lies.

Your articles cheer the heart and soul! Really. Because they are true and accurate. My very recent dealings with OSA have gone almost exactly as you relay For example – Me: So what about the regular beatings at the Int base? OSA: Yes, well read Freedom magazine. Me: but it says in Freedom that beatings were a regular occurence, and DM, who knows everything that happens on the Base, who redefines the term religious leader, and who is the most famous name in Scientology, was there through the whole period. What does that say about his regime? OSA: Read Freedom magazine… etc.

The enemy line being pushed is that I am “attacking scientology”. When I point out that DM and OSA are doing that without any input from me – well, I haven’t had the answer to that yet. In any case, having spoken to Marty for 40 mins yesterday (keep guessing OSA), I can confirm that he is as committed to standard tech as ever. While my online friends are having car accidents right after actions in the NOTs HGC – for real – Marty is delivering standard tech to the correct result. So that line doesn’t work either. Pulling people off the Bridge? Sorry, being PTS is not going to get anyone up the Bridge. The most case gain I have had for many a year by a long, long way, is disconnecting from the suppressive and squirrel regime that is DM’s “church” and getting true data from here, scientology-cult and Marty’s blog. Keep up the good work OSA!

Once again reality is stranger than fiction. When are people going to wise up and just suck it up and admit that they did things wrong???? Why is it so hard for the Church to face the fact that things are really bad for them right now and if they would just stop LYING to the world maybe so many people wouldn’t be fleeing from them?

I guess it is easier to neither confirm nor deny. Way to go!

We need a petition to comm-ev DM. I wonder how many signatures it would get?

Boyd, I’ll sign in a minute. Draw it up. Great idea.

Boyd, this is an excellent idea, near genius, I must have thought of it first and forgotten ;)Deserves a wider audience, suggest this to Marty and Steve too…

Slightly off-topic, but those who have got the latest 188 page gloosy Impact mag, there is the usual generous smattering of photos of Dear Leader (against LRH’s one), but look at his pics on pages 89 and 119. Where is the easy smile? Where has the “cheeky chappy” grin gone? He looks like a guy who is in trouble. Presumably he sanctioned the mag and those images, so I guess those are the best he could muster.

    Regarding the petition:

I’m not going to do it because of LRH policy on petitions. However, which policy applies in this situation is up to the individual to decide, so I’m leaving this open for someone else to take over this petition writing project if they think it’s a good idea. I think a petition is valid with our circumstances because LRH was talking about a different situation in that petition policy letter IMO. But I don’t know if it would galvanize public considering LRH bans multiple person petitions (ref: ethics book and HCO PL 29 APR 65, Petitions), so I’ve decided this from a PR perspective alone.

I think a petition’s allowable and legitimate in this circumstance if nothing else based on the FO on breaking rules when they get in your way, and the angle of “LRH wrote this petition policy with a different situation in mind (sane top management)” could be part of the intro. Also, “An essay on management” validates a petition too in my opinion. To anyone who wants to write one, have at it. I very well might be wrong about the PR.

In all seriousness DM needs to be stopped. This planet probably does not have very long left.Scientology needs to expand not shrink. The only stat that really matters is Auditors, clears and OTS being made and that is not happening and thats for god dam sure
